The security of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is coming to Varanasi today for the inauguration of the Kashi Tamil Samagam, will be tight. SPG did grand rehearsal from Babatpur airport to BHU on Friday. From the airport to the army helicopter to BHU helipad, the security system was tested through touch and go. Apart from four thousand policemen including 16 IPS, 25 ASP, 40 DSP, six companies of RAF and five companies of PAC will be deployed for the security of the Prime Minister.

On the other hand, the private hostels and guest houses, hotels around the BHU campus were also searched by the police. Police personnel searched hotels, lodges, guest houses, dhabas along the highway in Bhelupur circle regarding security arrangements.

NSG commandos, ATS commandos, officers of central security agencies will be involved in the internal security of the Prime Minister. On the other hand, Additional Commissioner of Police Santosh Kumar Singh and ADCP Traffic DK Puri briefed the police officers regarding the route diversion in the traffic auditorium. Police will be alert on the proposed route from BHU campus to Srikashi Vishwanath Dham.

The SPG conducted a dummy fleet rehearsal between 10 am and 1 pm. Security arrangements were reviewed from Babatpur Airport to the venue of the public meeting and from the venue of the public meeting to the helipad. The SPG directed the jawans to remain alert in the airport premises as well as in the surrounding areas and towers.

CISF’s dog squad and INT squad inspected the security arrangements in the terminal building. Due to the security arrangement, the visitor pass made to go to the terminal building at the airport was also banned. Those roaming unnecessarily in the airport premises were stopped and interrogated.
