Pimpri : The matter of construction of Pimpri-Chinchwad Court Building, which was pending for the last 10 years due to lack of funds and political will, has finally been resolved. Administrative approval has been received from the State Government for the expenditure of Rs 105.77 crore for the construction of Court Building, further action will be started soon.
A grand court building is proposed to be constructed at Moshi in Pimpri-Chinchwad city. The population of the city is around 27 lakhs. There are many court cases pending. However, the court here still does not have its own building. Hence, there was a tone of displeasure from the legal sector. Meanwhile, an alternative site was made available for the Pimpri-Chinchwad Court, as demanded by the Bar Association, from where it started functioning. However, the work of the proposed building was not able to catch pace. That’s why MLA Landge started efforts with the government.

The construction of the building was stalled due to lack of funds during the Mahavikas Aghadi government.
The matter of Pimpri-Chinchwad court building is pending for the last 10 years. The Pimpri-Chinchwad Court was established on 1 March 1989. However, the problem of building construction has not yet been resolved. During the Mahavikas Aghadi government, the construction of the building was stalled due to lack of funds. During that time, on the initiative of MLA Mahesh Landge, the court was shifted to an alternative place in Nehrunagar through Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. MLA Landge also provided a fund of Rs 8 crore for the furniture there. Now the state government will speed up the construction work, it is satisfactory. We will urge the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister that the Bhoomi Pujan of the building should be done in the month of January. Ed.
