Palghar: A 34-year-old man has been found dead in Maharashtra’s Palghar district and police suspect it to be a case of murder. an officer gave this information on Wednesday. A passer-by spotted the victim’s body at an isolated place in Waliv area on Tuesday evening and informed the police, he said.

The victim has been identified as Sunil Tiwari. An official of Valiv police station said that the police reached the spot and took the body for post-mortem to the government hospital. He told that the victim was strangulated to death by unknown persons and the body was dumped at a deserted place. Police is probing to ascertain the reason behind the murder.
He said that a case has been registered against unknown people in this regard under sections 302 (murder) and 201 (causing evidence of crime) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). (agency)
