Malegaon : Due to the torrential rain in Malegaon city and tehsil, the water of Pajhar Lake became overflow. Due to this, 70 acres of agricultural crops have gone under water due to the strong flow. In Devarpade, Shendurni, Sajwahal villages also the crop has been damaged to a great extent. The fertile soil of the fields, including crops such as cotton, maize, pomegranate and onion, was washed away. It is being told that due to this natural calamity, the loss of about two crore rupees is being estimated for 25 farmers. Punchnama of loss is being done by the Revenue Department. When the Panchnama is done, then it will be possible to find out how much loss has been caused to which farmer.

District Magistrate Vijayanand Sharma along with water conservation officers took stock of the damage to the crop. BJP District President Suresh Nikam and colleagues took stock of the damage and encouraged the farmers. The farmers have demanded immediate compensation. Sharma directed the Sub-Divisional Water Conservation Officers to immediately file a proposal for the repair of the dam. In Sajwahal village, water is leaking from the wall of the pond, after inspecting it, orders have been given to the branch engineer Yuvraj Ahire to take measures. Talathi, agricultural assistants and village servants were present, they were instructed to conduct Panchnama immediately. Due to the continuous flow, the Pajhar lake is completely filled. The dam broke due to a major landslide in the past days and water entered the fields, submerging the crops.

Due to this, 25 to 30 farmers including Manish Suryavanshi, Devba Mhaske, Bharat Chicken, Sudhakar Sarode, Rama Mhaske, Bhikan Gudhe, Balu Mhaske, Pintu Sarode, Sanjay Chikne suffered huge losses. Major crops like cotton, pomegranate, maize, onion have been affected due to water logging in the field. Some wells were submerged due to water entering the fields and wells. Due to excessive rainfall, agriculture along the river and embankment was washed away. Many animals have also been reported to have died due to rain. In Nandgaon Budruk, information has been received about the collapse of the wall of a house. Similarly, in Ghanegaon also information has been received about the collapse of the wall of the house. Thankfully there were no casualties in both these accidents.
