Nitin Gadkari, the Union Road, Transport and Highways Minister recently addressed a foundation stone laying and inauguration ceremony of 18 projects of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in Gorakhpur. During his speech, he praised the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his exemplary leadership in setting the ideal of law and order. He said that if the present situation of UP continues with the same ardor, then by the year 2024, UP will be transformed into the most prosperous and content state of India.
Gadkari’s predictions are well-backed with the fact that the national highways in UP have seen a double rise in numbers since 2014. Projects worth five lakh crore rupees in Uttar Pradesh will be soon accomplished and this seems to be an excellent opportunity for the state to gain investor confidence and stimulate industrial growth, which in turn will generate employment opportunities.
The Minister compared the Chief Minister to Lord Krishna while speaking about his dedication towards the rule of law. He cited the statement from the Shrimad Bhagwat Gita where Lord Krishna said whenever evil tendencies, harmful to society, unjust and tyrannical people’s influence increases, He incarnates to protect the people. Similarly, Yogi Adityanath had taken strict steps against unlawful acts which reassured the public.
When asked about what the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath were doing to develop Uttar Pradesh, Gadkari said that the roads of the state would be made on par with those of America and a Ram Rajya would be established to eradicate poverty and create a positive change in the state. In order to achieve these goals, the Prime Minister, Chief Minister, and all citizens need to come together and join hands to make Uttar Pradesh the number one superpower in the world.
Uttar Pradesh is known for its historical and natural allure, but if it can also establish itself as a state that stands for law, order and growth, then it will become a powerhouse of India. With the guidance of leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, UP has a great chance to make a mark in the history as the number one state of India. It is now up to all the citizens to come together and make the dream of UP becoming prosperous and happy a reality.
