Therefore, reservation will have to be decided afresh for the civic body elections and this work will have to be done by March 31 only. However, the process of reservation of seats and wards will be started only after the report of the commission, so the commission will have to give its report fast. At the same time, the Urban Development Department has also been asked to complete all the preparations expeditiously.

Explain that the state government had filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the order of the Allahabad High Court on the petition related to OBC reservation. On which the Supreme Court has asked the commission set up by the state government to submit its report on OBCs by March 31.
Election may be held in April
On the other hand, after the report of the commission comes in the stipulated time, it may take up to 15 to 20 days for the government to fix the reservation. After this, a provisional notification will be issued, on which objections and suggestions will be sought and disposed of within a week. Then the final notification will be issued. In such a situation, elections are possible only till the end of April.
Justice (retd) Ram Avtar Singh, chairman of the UP State Local Bodies Dedicated Backward Classes Commission, says that according to the directions of the Supreme Court, a report on reservation for backward classes will be prepared within the stipulated time. For this, the commission will work with full force.
Dr. Rajpal Kashyap, President of SP Backward Class Cell, says that the Supreme Court has approved the demand of SP. The demand of the party was that OBC reservation should be followed as per the system given in the constitution. The Supreme Court has also said the same. With this decision, the BJP government’s secret has been exposed. It is expected that after this decision the BJP will come to its senses and will not disregard the constitution. Therefore, following the OBC reservation, civic body elections should be conducted as soon as possible.
Congress state president Brijlal Khabri says that the decision of the Supreme Court is valid. The government should not play with the OBC reservation and complete the process in a logical manner to give them their due rights.
BSP chief Mayawati says that if the government had set up a commission before time and got the triple test done, this situation would not have come to the fore. It is very important for the BJP to abandon the anti-poor, Dalit, OBC, Muslim and Bahujan Samaj tactics, character and face.
