After this, the commissionerate system will be started by dividing all the 31 police stations of the district into three zones. This will reduce administrative interference in the work of police in rural areas as well.
After the implementation of the new system, the expenditure on different resources and infrastructure will be reduced, while at the same time, due to the separate zones during the VVIP movement, the problems in mutual coordination will also end. Traffic system and cyber cell in the Commissionerate Police will also be the same now. There will no longer be any confusion among the complainants.

In the cabinet meeting on Thursday, it was approved to increase the scope of Varanasi Commissionerate. Police Commissioner A Satish Ganesh said that after the notification is issued from the government level, the new system will be implemented. It is expected that the notification may release this week.
There are currently two zones in Varanasi Commissionerate, Kashi and Varuna. However, after the involvement of the rural police, another zone will be formed. Rural zones can be created. Apart from this, the number of circles can increase from six to 9 or 10.
Sarnath, Kotwali, Dashashwamedh, Bhelupur, Chetganj and Cantt were made in six circles. While connecting Pindra, Baragaon and Sadar of rural, the number of circles will increase to nine. According to the police officers, the number of circles is also possible 10, separating some areas as per the requirement.
According to the high officials of the police, due to the presence of two different police systems in the same district, there was a lot of difficulty in establishing mutual coordination. VIP and VVIP movement, during the festival, these problems were aggravated. If there was any incident somewhere, then the situation of rural and commissionerate boundary dispute would have arisen.
Even the police officers sitting in the government used to get confused about Varanasi Rural and Commissionerate when there was a criminal incident or some big thing. Secondly, due to the separate system, the police department had to bear the double cost.
Varanasi Commissionerate Police was formed on March 2021 for better policing. In this, 19 police stations of the city were included in the commissionerate. With the separation of the rural police, the resources also got separated. Police line became two. The traffic system was divided. The Rural Police Office started functioning in a rented building located at Harhua.
Now 12 police stations of rural police in the commissionerate are included in the Mahila Thana located at Rajatalab, Rohaniya, Jansa, Mirzamurad, Kapsethi, Baragaon, Lohta, Chaubepur, Cholapur, Sindhora, Phulpur and Baragaon. The police stations of the Commissionerate include Kotwali, Adampur, Ramnagar, Bhelupur, Lanka, Chitaipur, Manduwadih, Chetganj, Jaitpura, Sigra, Cantt, Shivpur, Sarnath, Lalpur-Pandeypur, Dashashwamedh, Chowk, Laksa, Mahila Thana and Tourist Thana. It is possible that after the formation of the commissionerate, the women police stations in the entire district will be united.
