Nashik : Nashik East Division authorities have issued a notice to the administration of Wockhardt Hospital at Wadala Naka for non-payment of tax. The notice warned that the movable assets of the hospital would be confiscated if the dues were not cleared within the next five days. Rajaram Jadhav, former divisional officer of Nashik Municipal Corporation, has issued a notice to the hospital administration. This hospital has not paid its building tax for more than five years.
As per the provisions of the Municipal Corporation Act, the owner or occupier of the property is jointly bound to pay the rent within the prescribed period. Since the primary responsibility for payment of tax lies with the occupier of the hospital administration, the East Divisional Office of Nashik Municipal Corporation has issued a notice to the said hospital administration regarding payment of dues.
