ADG Akhil Kumar has issued a letter in this regard to all SSPs, SPs of the zone. It has been said that there should be no celebration without permission under any circumstances. Action should be taken if found celebrating in the open on the streets. Take strict action against those found drunk.
All the malls, major markets and public places of the city will be guarded by the police. Policemen will be present without uniform, so that incidents like molestation, snatching do not happen with women. Police will also do checking at various places to prevent people from roaming on the streets after drinking alcohol. Breaking the rules can also lead to jail time.
If you are preparing for the New Year in the locality, then its permission will have to be taken from the administration. In this, the police will strictly follow the ten o’clock rule. After this period, strict action will be taken against DJ or playing songs in loud voice.
