Navabharat | Navbharat: Unbroken journey of 90 years, unwavering-continuous; We are the witnesses of 'new creation'... | Navabharat (New India)

When Late Shri Ramgopalji Maheshwari started the publication of ‘Navbharat’ on Basant Panchami of 1934, that period was very challenging. This challenge was before both the country and the world. The enmity of global leaders was increasing very fast and the British government was not able to handle its occupation settled in many corners of the world. Many big countries were engaged in destroying each other. The armies of many countries including Japan, America, Germany were bent on violence only and only. In such a situation, in India, the most important country of Asia, under the leadership of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, both the groups of freedom fighters (soft party and hot party) were engaged in planning the future of crores of people.

Freedom was deeply embedded in the thoughts of veteran leaders like Gandhi-Nehru-Patel-Bose. From 1934, ‘Navbharat’ started the work of elevating the voice of thousands of brave martyr soldiers and freedom fighters who mustered the courage to fulfill it by showing the dream of freedom to crores of Indians. That decade of the 30s will never be forgotten in the history of the world because the Second World War started by the time it ended.

Even though India’s army was not formally formed, but thousands of Indian soldiers sacrificed their lives in this war. Here in India, the drunkards of freedom awakened the spirit of freedom among children in every street. When the British increased the oppression, the Indians responded with the same assertiveness. We were the witnesses of the ‘Quit India’ movement of 1942, which shook the stove of the British. When the British understood that now India has to be freed, then by adopting the policy of divide and rule, they carried out the conspiracy of partition.

Before the independence of India, the people of India suffered this conspiracy of destruction even after paying a heavy price. Freedom was achieved, but Bapu was shot dead by a madman who ended that idea, considering which the whole world is moving forward today. We were witness to every strategy of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in making India united in pieces. We were witness to all such happiness and sorrow. Under the leadership of the world’s greatest social revolutionary Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, when along with President Dr. Rajendra Prasad gave the precious gift of the Constitution to India, even then we were involved in the happiness of crores of Indians.

Be it the first general election in 1952 or the strategy to make Kashmir an integral part of the Republic of India, we were a part of it all. In the late 50s, when India was moving fast in strengthening its democratic roots, we also saw the formation of states like Maharashtra and Gujarat by giving concrete shape to the concept of linguistic state. Large dams like Bhakra-Nangal, Hirakud, huge steel plants like Bhilai-Rourkela and Durgapur along with the foundation of international level institutions like IIT, IIM, ISRO, Bhabha Atomic Research Center Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru India very fast Neighboring China lost sleep. Even when China imposed the first war in 1962, India’s courage did not waver when China, who betrayed by raising the slogan of Hindi-Chini Bhai-Bhai.

Crores of Indians donated gold-silver, money-rupees, wealth, grandchildren from their homes to the country. We were also witness to this unprecedented eternal event. The slogan of ‘Jai Jawan-Jai Kisan’ of Lal Bahadur Shastri, who was an embodiment of simplicity, created a new energy of self-respect in the whole country. In 1965 and 1971, whether it was to lick the dust of Pakistan or to liberate Bangladesh, we conveyed each and every saga of the bravery of our forces and brave officers like Field Marshal Manekshaw to the country and the world.

When many developed countries were not able to get women out of purdah, then India handed over the command to the first domineering Prime Minister in the form of Indira Gandhi. No country in the world should cast its evil eye on India, that’s why we spread the message of the first nuclear test in Pokhran. India’s glory increased in the 70s, but the countrymen also suffered the brunt of the Emergency. We had the privilege of working shoulder to shoulder with the entire nation to come out of the emergency. After that, be it the Asian Games in the 80s or the debut of color TV, many such sour-sweet experiences came.

Got a visionary Prime Minister like Rajiv Gandhi, who ushered India into the computer era. We have never lagged behind in taking forward the digital revolution of India, which the world today considers iron. This was the period when India started ringing on earth and in this decade, Rakesh Sharma reached space and told the countrymen that ‘Saare Jahan Se Accha Hindostan Hamara’. Due to controversies like Mandal-Kamandal, there were definitely ideological differences between us, but we never allowed differences of opinion to happen.

In the 90s, when all the limits of the economy were over in the world, at that time P.V. We were witness to the revolutionary change done by Narasimha Rao in India. In the same decade, under the strong leadership of Prime Minister Pt. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the second nuclear test was conducted and at the end of the decade, by defeating Pakistan in the Kargil War, it explained its intentions that no one should make the mistake of considering India as weak.

In the late 2000s, despite the coalition compulsions of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, a well-known economist, we made our hold so strong in all fields including education, economy, health, technology, industry-trade that in 2008, when the whole world was in the grip of the Great Depression. It did not affect more than 125 crore people of India at that time. After that, till the beginning of 2010s, Indians started becoming decisive in a superpower like America.

The era of Prime Minister Narendra Modi came and brought the system of GST by reforming complex tax laws and ‘Navbharat’ made ‘India’ stand in the line of superpowers. Scientist APJ Abdul Kalam, the son of Mother India, known as Missile Man, took the country to new heights in the field of science as the President.

Where our brave army is ready to sour the teeth of the enemy on the borders, then the paramilitary forces and police forces are holding the strings of internal security. While our health workers have been able to deal with an epidemic like Corona, lakhs and crores of teachers along with all the countrymen are engrossed in creating an intellectual superpower. All the other three organs of democracy, Legislature, Executive and Judiciary, shoulder to shoulder, ‘New India’ is sacrificing its deeds in 90 years in the Mahayagya to make India self-sufficient in basic needs like electricity-roads-water-grains.

Be it social concern or religious tolerance, ‘Navbharat’ threaded this garland in such a way that Ms. Draupadi Murmu occupied the highest post of India as the head of state and the whole country became proud. For the last 90 years, ‘Navbharat’ has been on the path of unbroken and undisturbed progress on its journey. This journey will continue till the Golden Age of ‘New India’ i.e. 2034 and the Golden Age of Independent India i.e. 2047 with the goodwill of all of you readers and well wishers, with this hope and enthusiasm…. Jai Hind.
