According to the information received, Ganesh Mitapalli and Shravanti Mitapalli, both husband and wife of Sironcha city’s ward no. In 7 he resided near the Dargah. Ganesh was working in Hyderabad leaving his family and lived in Hyderabad only. During this period, Ganesha had an inkling that his wife Shravanthi had developed a love affair with her maternal uncle’s son. There were always disputes between the two due to immoral love affairs. During this, on Monday at 5 pm, there was a heated argument between the husband and wife for this reason.
In a fit of rage, the accused Ganesh strangulated Shravanthi to death. Its complaint was lodged by Mamta Rajesh Mitapalli (30) at Sironcha police station. After the complaint, a case under Section 302 was registered against the accused Ganesh. Keeping in view the seriousness of the matter, the Sironcha police arrested the accused Ganesh Mitapalli on Tuesday. Further investigation of the case is being done by Police Inspector Vishwas Jadhav of Sironcha Police Station under the guidance of Sub Divisional Police Officer Suhas Shinde.
Immoral relationship with maternal uncle’s boy
Accused Ganesh Mitapalli used to reside there since he was working in Hyderabad. Whereas the deceased Sravanti Mitapalli used to live with her daughter at her residence in Sironcha. During this, a year ago, she had a love affair with her maternal uncle’s son from Telangana state. Husband Ganesh came to know about it. There was a fierce dispute between the two on the immoral relationship. Enraged, Ganesh strangled his wife to death.

Seeing the seriousness of the incident, the Sironcha police immediately arrested the accused. On presenting the accused in the court of Sironcha on Tuesday, the court sent the accused to police custody till Thursday.
