Mumbai: After starting full operations of Metro-2A and 7 (Metro-2A and 7), the work of the highest metro line of Mumbai (Mumbai) is also starting fast. MMRDA has completed 66 percent civil work of Metro-6. Once fully ready, it will be the tallest metro elevated line in the city, with a height of 38 metres. Other metro corridors in Mumbai are being built at an average height of 16 meters from the ground.
MMRDA is constructing the 15.31 km long Metro Line-6, which will connect Jogeshwari and Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR) and Eastern Express Highway in the western suburbs. The work of fully elevated Metro Line-6 is being done up to Swami Samarth Nagar-Jogeshwari-Vikhroli. Line-6 has the facility of double deck. An elevated road and a metro viaduct are being built on the first level. There is heavy traffic on this route.
Will connect with other metro lines
Mumbai Metro Line-6 will connect to other metro lines Line 2A, 3, 4 and 7. It has 13 stations. Apart from this, it will also connect with Jogeshwari and Kanjurmarg suburban railways. To provide additional transport facilities, a 2.58 km long road flyover is being constructed under this metro line on a deck in the middle of the road.

Station at 10 storey height
The highest station on Metro 6 route will be Kanjurmarg, which will be built at a height of about 30 metres. It will be as tall as a 10-storey building. The Metro-6 corridor will also be above LBS Marg, JVLR and Metro-4 (Wadala-Kasarvadavali) line. Metro-4 is 20 meters above the ground. Both these metro lines will have stations at the junction and will be connected by a footover bridge.
JVLR to Eastern Expressway
According to MMRDA commissioner SVR Srinivas, the metro network in Mumbai will be unique. Metro Line-6 will provide best metro rail connectivity between western and eastern suburbs. The Jogeshwari and Vikhroli Link Roads in the western suburbs will connect the Atharth JVLR and the Eastern Express Highway.

Swami Samarth Nagar, Adarsh Nagar, Momin Nagar, JVLR, Shyam Nagar, Mahakali Cave, Seepz Village, Saki Vihar Road, Ram Bagh, Powai Lake, IIT Powai, Kanjurmarg West and Vikhroli.
