MumbaiMumbai’s urban transport body, Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST), on Wednesday said it is taking 400 hired buses off the roads following three incidents of buses catching fire within a month.
Best has decided to take all 400 buses off the roads until the OEMs (original manufacturers) and operators make necessary improvements and give assurances that such incidents will not happen in future, Lokesh Chandra, BEST’s general manager, said in a statement. .
