Nagpur, To say that the city is famous as Smart City, but the main Peacock Bhawan bus stand here is shedding tears over its plight. The road built inside its premises has become so many jewel pits that the bus drivers are afraid of bursting the tire of the bus. Here the number of these sharp potholes is so much that one or the other bus keeps getting damaged. It is not that the responsible officer is not aware of this problem. Many times ST employees also lodged complaint but no action has been taken on it. For this reason many ST workers are also angry.
It is noteworthy that buses ply for rural areas around the city from the ST stand located at Mor Bhawan. These include Kamathi, Pardi, Kamleshwar, Butibori, Kanhan along with many places. At present, a large number of people from these rural areas are going to other cities for jobs. All of them had come to their homes to celebrate Diwali. Therefore, passengers are coming in large numbers at the stand. In view of more passengers, additional buses are also being run by the ST management, but the passengers coming here are also yearning for their basic problems. There is also no proper seating arrangement for the passengers.
Thousands of travelers come every day
Mor Bhawan Bus Stand comes in the major places of the city. Thousands of passengers commute here every day. Even after this, the attention of the city administration is not on this side. Travelers also have to buy water from nearby shops and drink it. Travelers say that although the city is called a smart city, but seeing the condition of the bus stand, it seems that it is a smart bus name. Neither Khatara buses are being replaced nor facilities are being developed for the passengers.
