Mukhtar was taken on custody remand by the ED from 14 December. He was interrogated extensively for 15 days before the remand period ended on Wednesday. In-depth inquiries were made regarding the transactions done in the accounts of Mukhtar’s company Vikas Construction and his father-in-law’s firm Aagaz Construction. Along with the balance sheet of both the firms, information was also gathered about the transactions done in the accounts of Mukhtar, his wife Afsha Ansari, son and relatives.
Sources say that ED has got very important information. Several evidences have also been collected during the interrogation. Soon after the completion of the inquiry, a charge sheet will be filed in this matter. Along with that, preparation of charge sheet has also been started against son Abbas Ansari and brother-in-law Sarjeel.
