In Gaura village of Mohanlalganj, a class five student, who fell ill after eating food prepared at a birthday party, died on Monday evening at the medical college. When the body was brought to the village on Tuesday morning, there was chaos. The SDM, who reached the house of the deceased child, consoled the family of the child.

In Gaura village on October 31, 70 people became ill after eating contaminated food prepared at the birthday party, out of which 63 people were admitted for treatment at the CAHC. When the condition deteriorated in the CHC, 20 people were referred to the civil for treatment while the deceased Aman alias Sunny (11) was referred to the medical college. Sunny had high fever along with vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal pain. Despite treatment in the medical college, Sunny’s condition was not improving.

At around 7 pm on Monday, Sunny’s condition worsened and she died. The father was lying outside the hospital with the child’s body throughout the night. When the child’s body was brought to the village on Tuesday morning, there was uproar.

On receiving information about the death of the child, SDM Hanuman Prasad Maurya reached home and consoled the family of the deceased. The child’s family consists of father Nandkishore, mother Lajwati, sister Kajal, Kumkum and brother Vishnu.
