DMK MLAs dressed in school uniform, came to Vidhymandalat on cycles and entered Vidhan Bhavan with school bags. Puducherry’s ruling NR Congress and BJP government started DMK MLA’s movement alleging incompetence in providing free uniforms and school bags to the students.
DMK MLAs along with opposition leader R.Shiva did a unique movement. The government demanded full statehood status for Puducherry and to get the resolution approved. MLAs landed in Vel making announcement that Puducherry would get full statehood.

DMK MLAs walked out of the Legislature making announcements. Both the Congress MLAs also abstained. The Congress MLAs accused the Government of Puducherry of failing all the Aghadians. After this, the Speaker adjourned the House for an indefinite period. Legislature session lasted only 24 minutes.

Tribute to Queen Elizabeth of Britain
The Puducherry Legislative Assembly came to condole the demise of the late Queen Elizabeth II of Britain and adjourned the proceedings of the House. Assembly Speaker R. Selvam also paid homage to Elizabeth.
The last Legislature session of Puducherry would have passed in August 2022. Chief Minister N. Rangaswamy would have presented the budget in that.
