In the Chitrakoot district jail case, the case has not ended after the main accused Jail Superintendent, Jailor, Deputy Jailor and Warder went to jail. Its investigation is on. There is doubt about the role of four more employees. Some more gifts etc. have to be recovered. On Monday, the interrogation of Deputy Jailor Piyush Tripathi and a warder continued.

On February 10, contrary to the rules in the district jail, MLA Abbas Ansari was busted to meet his wife Nikhat Bano and driver along with other people. Eight people including Abbas were nominated in this. A report has been registered on them for conspiracy to escape from jail, recovery of foreign currency, demanding extortion, use of phone, giving expensive gifts, giving inducements. In this sequence, the investigation of SIT and STF is going on. So far eight people have been sent to jail.
