The Delhi Police was also kind to Abbas Ansari, son of mafia Mukhtar Ansari and Subhaspa MLA from Mau. The arms license made from Lucknow, which Abbas had transferred to Delhi, was allowed to buy seven guns for shooting. But the officer keeping the details of the arms license in the Delhi Police bypassing the rules also registered the eighth weapon.
Now the STF has summoned the officer who registered the eighth weapon for questioning. The STF, probing the case of illegal purchase of several arms, had seized all the seven weapons belonging to Abbas.
Despite this, Abbas bought state-of-the-art rifles and spare barrels of .300 bore from Slovenia. Which was registered on his license by the licensing officer of Delhi Police. It also ignored the ongoing cases against Abbas and the action to deposit arms.
STF has asked the concerned officer to appear in the first week of March. The STF had also obtained a search warrant from the office of the Licensing Authority of Delhi Police.
