Police registered a case against the accused under the Arms Act and sent them to jail. According to the Additional Superintendent of Police, during interrogation, the accused told that they buy and sell illegal weapons. He has contacts with some people from non-districts and provinces. Through them illegal weapons are available to them. Those weapons are sold by contacting the people in the nearby area for a higher price.
He told that the information about the arrested people was found after checking the mobile of Amit Singh, an accused arrested in the murder case of a youth in Vindhyachal recently. A photo of the accused was found with a pistol in it. When the police investigated to find that gun, the names of these two smugglers came to the fore. After that they were arrested. The accused told during interrogation that there is a person named Deveshwar Shukla, from whom they used to buy weapons. Which was caught by STF a few days ago. It is not yet known how many weapons have been sold. The matter is being investigated.
