Nagpur, Yuva Sena submitted a memorandum to the regional transport RTO officer regarding the incident of school bus running over an innocent student at Mary Possepins Academy, Khasala. In the memorandum, a demand was made to keep the school bus operators running in the city and district under control under the rules. Also warned of agitation if strict action is not taken against those who break the rules.
District head Sharad Sarode, representing the Yuva Sena delegation, said that in the last 4-5 years, there has been a flood of private schools in Nagpur city and district. In such a situation, a large number of school buses are also running. Some buses are operated by the school management. Some buses are being run by private company. However, in the guise of school children, the lives of these children are being played with by flouting the rules. Recently, Samanvay Kamble, a student of Mary Poussin’s Academy, was run over by the bus of the same school. It is being told that a driver above 70 years of age was driving the bus.

Sarode said that it has been seen that inexperienced drivers are driving the school buses. He does not even have a learning license. Nor is the batch visible near the conductor. The speed of buses is more than normal. It is clear that these bus operators and drivers have no fear of RTO. On the other hand, the RTO has also turned a blind eye to the whims of these private school bus operators.
He warned that instead of checking them for 2 or 3 days in a month, a special squad should be formed and reports should be prepared every week. Apart from this, crackdown on oval load and illegal vehicles running in the city should be tightened. During this, apart from Sarode, a large number of youth army workers including Sonusingh Gaur, Praveen Ahirrao, Deepak Damani, Pankaj Saikhede, Arif Sheikh, Pankaj Ahirrao were present.
