Police arrested two miscreants in an encounter who tried to rob a coil from a woman on Saturday evening in Maida locality under Lal Kurti area of ​​Meerut. The incident of looting of coil by two bike-borne miscreants was committed at 5 pm on Saturday evening, due to which a video related to it also went viral. Taking the incident seriously, a team was formed under the leadership of the station in-charge to unveil it.

With the help of electronic surveillance and CCTV, the team surrounded the miscreants near Buchdi Road in the city. Seeing themselves surrounded, the miscreants opened fire on the police team. In self-defense firing by the police team, both the miscreants were shot in the leg. The names of the miscreants are Shivam and Sachin by whom it was accepted to execute the incident. The police have admitted the injured miscreants to the hospital where they are being interrogated.

Two bike-borne miscreants looted both the coils of an elderly woman Santosh Devi in ​​Lalkurti Chhota Bazar on Saturday evening. After this, granddaughter Riya showed courage and confronted the miscreants. He dropped the miscreants on the road and also took back a coil from them, but the miscreants fled as soon as they got the opportunity.

At the time of the incident, Riya kept fighting with the miscreants while making noise and the people remained spectators. If people had helped in time, the miscreants could have been caught. This incident was captured in CCTV camera. The police was engaged in investigation on the basis of the footage.

Varun, a resident of Maida Mohalla Chhota Bazar, told that his mother Santosh Devi (80), a resident of Tibra Road, Modinagar, was coming to his house with her granddaughter Riya (22) at 5 pm on Saturday. Both were coming on foot towards the house after getting down from the small market in the e-rickshaw. Meanwhile, two miscreants riding a bike came and snatched both the coils while swooping down on the ears of Santosh Devi. Due to this both the ears of the woman were torn. Seeing this, granddaughter Riya got entangled with the miscreants.

Riya also snatched a coil from the miscreants, but before the second hand came, the miscreants escaped along with the bike. Later, the police arrived on information and scanned the CCTV footage. Varun reached the police station and reported the robbery. Station in-charge Naresh Kumar says that the number of the bike was marked through the footage. The police have arrested both the miscreants.

Riya told that father Vinay Aggarwal had died about 10 years ago. Apart from grandmother, there is mother Vinita Aggarwal and younger sister Priya in the house. Riya is preparing for civil service after studying B.Com. She has also given the IAS exam.
