Lucknow: Information about a major accident has come to the fore on Friday in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. A large portion of the cold storage building collapsed due to a boiler explosion at Daurala village on the Delhi-Dehradun NH around 2:30 pm. Dozens of laborers working here got buried under the debris. According to reports, so far 7 laborers have died due to being buried under the debris, while others were seriously injured.
According to the information received, this cold storage belongs to former BSP MLA Chandraveer Singh. Linter was being put in the cold storage on Friday afternoon. More than 35 laborers were working during the accident. Suddenly the shuttering of the linter collapsed and the entire debris fell on the laborers working below. On information, the police and the local people reached the spot and started evacuating the trapped laborers.

The police have sent the injured to the hospital. The work of removing the debris from the JCB machine and evacuating the people buried below is going on.
