to raise, Measles disease is slowly spreading in the state. After Mumbai, Nagpur, this disease is now spreading in Buldhana as well. A total of 8 suspects of this disease were found in the district. Out of which reports of five have come. Out of these five, three children have been found positive. Due to which there is an atmosphere of worry among the parents as well. The survey has been started in the entire district as soon as the Health Department gets a clue about this.
Measles disease, which started in Mumbai some time ago, was showing its outbreak in Mumbai itself. But gradually this disease has reached Nagpur and now Buldhana as well. Last week due to increasing cold in the district, the patients of malaria and dengue were also increasing, but now measles has also been included in this disease. Due to which there is panic in the district. The survey has been started by the Health Department as soon as the Health Department got the inkling of this.
Along with the District Health Officer’s office, employees, Tehsil Health Officers, employees, ASHA volunteers of the district have also been appointed for this work. For the prevention of this disease, the survey has been started while planning by the Health Department. In the first phase of this survey, eight suspects were found in the district. Samples of all these were sent to Pune. Out of which reports of five have been received.
Out of these five, the information of three children having measles has come to the fore. Out of these three boys, one 8 year old boy is a resident of Buldhana whereas, among the other two boys one is 12 years old and one is 10 years old girl. He is said to be a resident of Deulgaon Raja. For the prevention of this increasing disease in the district, the health department has called upon the citizens to be careful and follow the information given.
Survey will be of 5 km
After being found positive for measles, a survey has been started by the Health Department up to a distance of 5 km from the patient’s house. Along with this, Vitamin A is being given to these patients. This information was given by the Resident Health Officer Dr. Yasmin Chowdhary.
