BSP supremo Mayawati has appealed to the Congress to apologize to the women and the people of Rajasthan after the issue of auction of girls allegedly through stamp papers came to light.
In a tweet on Monday, he said that it is a very sad incident to embarrass the social and government system related to the purchase and sale of girls in the panchayats of Rajasthan.
He said that this is the real cruel form of the Congress party and their state government, which claims ‘I can fight a girl’, towards girls?
Mayawati said that it is appropriate to take suo motu cognizance of this incident by various commissions, but this is not a proper solution, but the Congress government there should take strict action against the culprits as well as the women society and the state on this shameful incident. The public should also apologize immediately.
The National Human Rights Commission has issued a notice to the Ashok Gehlot government in the matter. The NHRC has asked the government, what action has been taken against such crimes and what is the mechanism to stop them.
