BSP supremo Mayawati has targeted the BJP. He said that making Uniform Civil Code an election issue like controversial and divisive issues by BJP instead of employment in other states in UP, but making it an election issue in Gujarat gives strength to the discussion that BJP’s condition there. Really not okay.
He said that the Center has recently told the Supreme Court that no decision on the issue of Uniform Civil Code should be taken yet as it will be referred to the 22nd Law Commission. Despite this, what is going to happen in the Gujarat assembly elections, due to which the BJP’s hope is bowing down.

Mayawati said how appropriate it is to use money received from unknown sources in the public eye to influence elections. The latest figures show that Rs 545 crore has been given through secret funding of electoral bonds ahead of the general elections in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh. Where is this money going?
