In Maturi Mariam of Mau district, two bike-borne miscreants shot dead two youths returning to the village due to old enmity. The miscreants fled after executing the incident. Police admitted both to the district hospital. Seeing the critical condition of both, the doctors referred them to BHU. As soon as the information was received, there was chaos among the relatives of the youth.
Sonu Yadav (22), a resident of Bhitiya Mafi village of Madhuban police station area, went to Madhuban market on Sunday with his partner Pramod Yadav (34). Both were returning back to their village at around 6.30 pm. When two bike-borne youths reached near Maturi Mariam village, overtook him and stopped him and started abusing him.
On this Sonu and Pramod got down and protested. Meanwhile, the bike-borne miscreants opened fire on both of them. Due to which both got injured. Both the attackers fled after the incident. On receiving the information, CO Madhuban Abhay Kumar Singh and SO Abdul Wahid reached the spot along with the police force and took the injured to the district hospital.
