The effect of the end of all restrictions after the Corona period will be seen in Kanhaiya’s city on the new year. It is believed that on the occasion of New Year, devotees will throng Mathura, Vrindavan and other religious places of the district and all previous records will be broken. The situation is that till January 3, most of the hotels and guest houses have already been booked. More than 10 lakh devotees are expected to visit Mathura-Vrindavan on the occasion of New Year.

In view of the arrival of a large number of devotees on New Year, Thakur Shribanke Bihari Temple Management has issued an advisory. A large number of devotees are expected to bid farewell to the year and start the new year with the darshan of their deity. Since the new year is going to come on the weekend itself. In such a situation, the crowd of Delhi-NCR will be maximum. Thakur Shribanke Bihari has also sent a letter to the police administration to rectify the temple management arrangements.

The accident happened due to crowd on Janmashtami

This year, after the mishappening in the Bankebihari temple during the aarti on the occasion of Janmashtami, there is talk of improvement in the arrangements, but no significant change has been seen on the ground. Devotees coming for darshan are being given entry from gate number two and three, while evacuation is arranged from one and four. While gate number-five has been kept reserved for services.

Munish Sharma, manager of Thakur Shribanke Bihari Temple, told that the devotees coming to visit Thakurji must follow the advisory issued by the temple management. With this, come for darshan only after assessing or knowing the crowd before coming to the temple. A letter has been sent to the administration to make arrangements.

Decision could not be taken regarding increasing the darshan

No decision has been taken to extend the darshan time in Thakur Bankebihari temple, nor has the system for online darshan been made in the temple. In such a situation, it will be a tough challenge for the district administration and the temple management to control the crowd on New Year. At the same time, the effect of stopping the darshan of Khatu Shyam of Rajasthan is being seen in Vrindavan. This is the reason why the pressure of the crowd in the Banke Bihari temple is continuously increasing for the last one and a half months.

Hotel directors Umesh Dubey and Golu Pandit told that all the hotels and guest houses of Vrindavan are booked. The situation is that no room can be found vacant till the coming 3rd of January. Devotees want to celebrate the last day of the year and the new year by visiting Thakurji. Mahendra Pratap Singh Advocate, president of the Mathura-Vrindavan Hotel Association, said that after the removal of the restrictions of the Corona period, there has been an increase in enthusiasm among people for religious pilgrimage. This is the reason why devotees want to start the new year by visiting the temples of Vrindavan Mathura. Hotels and guest houses have already been booked.

Crowd in Bankebihari temple on Tuesday

Neither any festival nor weekend holiday, even after this, there was a huge crowd in the Bankebihari temple on Tuesday. The devotees who came for darshan got trapped in the crowd and reached to have darshan of their deity. There was a rush of darshan in the temple. More crowd of devotees was seen in the evening than in the morning. Due to the increasing crowd, the arrangements in the streets around the temple collapsed. At the same time, no special improvement was seen in the system of darshan in the temple.

People troubled by traffic jam

Due to lack of proper parking arrangement, Vrindavan is getting jammed. There were traffic jams on Mathura Marg, Chhatikara Marg and Yamuna Expressway on Tuesday. Along with this, devotees parked their vehicles in Radha Niwasa, Kishorpura, Bhatar Bhawan, CFC Square, Mathura Darwaza, Vidyapeeth, Gandhi Nagar, Motijheel, Bankebihari Colony etc. areas of the city and went to visit the Lord.
