Action on stubble burning will no longer be limited to a one-time fine. If the matter of burning stubble by the same farmer thrice comes to notice, then the government grant will be snatched from the farmer concerned. The government had already issued this order in the past. At the same time, now the Mainpuri district administration will strictly implement it to control stubble burning.

The left over residue after harvesting the paddy crop has become a major problem. Due to its burning, the whole country has faced the problem of smog in the sky many times. Due to this, now stubble burning has been banned. Even after this, farmers are burning stubble. The government is taking drastic steps to stop stubble burning completely. Under this, now not only the fine, but the farmers will also be deprived of government grants.

Farmers get this grant

In fact, subsidy is given to the farmers by the Agriculture Department on other fertilizers and all types of seeds including urea, DAP. This gives huge benefits to the farmers. But now if any farmer is caught burning stubble thrice, then along with imposing fine on him, he will also be deprived of the grant.

Due to this, farmers may have to bear big losses in future. For this it is not necessary that all the three events are of the same year. If any farmer has been caught burning stubble in previous years also, then that number will also be included. In such a situation, if the farmers want to continue the subsidy on government schemes, then do not burn the stubble.

Fine is from two and a half thousand to 15 thousand

There will also be a fine for burning the leftover stubble from the paddy crop. According to the order of the government, a fine of two and a half thousand rupees will be imposed on the farmer up to two acres, five thousand rupees from two acres to five acres and 15 thousand rupees if the area is more than five acres. Along with this, there is also a provision for FIR.

Fertility is also affected

According to agricultural scientists, farmers find it beneficial for some time by burning stubble and disposing of it, but its losses are very high. Dr. Vikas Ranjan Choudhary, Senior Scientist of Krishi Vigyan Kendra said that by burning stubble in the field, along with burning the soil, friendly insects and micro-nutrients present in it also get destroyed by burning. This affects production.

How to dispose of stubble

Agricultural scientist Dr. Vikas Ranjan Choudhary told that today many machines are available for the disposal of stubble. The farmer can mix the stubble in the soil by means of mulcher, chopper etc. Along with this, after irrigating the fields, stubble can be disposed of by spraying urea on the stubble or by spraying the waste decomposer.

District Agriculture Officer Dr. Suryapratap Singh said that there is a strict order of the government that fine should be imposed for burning stubble. Also, if you burn stubble thrice, you will be deprived of the grant on all departmental schemes. Farmers should be aware and do not burn stubble.
