Mumbai: A statement by BJP MLA Nitesh Rane, who was in the headlines for making controversial statements, has again created a ruckus. Threatening the villagers of Nandgaon in Kankavli taluka, he said that if the sarpanch of the opposition is elected here, they will not give even a single rupee for the development fund. Nitesh clearly said that the sarpanch of his choice should be elected in Nandgaon. He clearly said that if you want to consider it as a threat, then understand. Rane had reached Nandgaon to campaign for the Maharashtra Gram Panchayat elections to be held on December 18.

Nitesh said that which village has to be funded and which is not. It’s up to me to decide. So keep this in mind while voting. If the sarpanch of my choice is not elected in your village, then I will not fund your village. Guardian Minister, Collector, Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and Chief Minister will also not give any fund in Nandgaon without asking me.
