‘Lumpi Pro Ind’ vaccine developed to cure cow and buffaloes from fatal Lumpy skin disease will soon be available in the market. The vaccine was handed over to M/s Hester Bioscience Company, Ahmedabad, during the Industry Stakeholder Consultation Function at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi. Scientists claim that this vaccine is effective in effective control of lumpy disease.
The Lumpi Pro Ind vaccine has been developed by joint efforts of scientists from Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Izatnagar Bareilly and National Research Center on Equine, Hisar. According to scientists, the vaccine trial was successful. Effective control of lumpy skin disease is possible by its use.
Will have to spend two rupees for one dose
Animal parents will have to spend a maximum of two rupees on one dose of the vaccine. This disease is the main reason for the economic loss of the livestock farmers. Cattle of all ages are affected by this disease. This disease mainly spreads to the animal through mosquitoes and blood-sucking insects, flies.
