Traveling in electric buses will now be expensive. The facility of cheap travel from them has now ended. The fares of ordinary (CNG) city and electric buses have been changed. Their rent was made equal for one year, the term of which was completed.

In the year 2019, 40 electric buses were included in the fleet of Lucknow City Bus Transport. The minimum fare was kept at Rs 10. In July last year, 100 more electric buses were found. There was a demand to keep their fare at par with the old electric buses.

The then Urban Development Minister decided to keep their fare at par with ordinary city buses for one year for the convenience of the passengers. MD of City Bus Transport RK Tripathi said that before July 2021, the fare of AC buses was seven rupees more than normal buses. The rent of both was made equal for one year. After completion of this time, on the instructions of the government, the rent has been done as before.
