Expansion
Cow and dog rearing will become expensive from April. One person can take a license and keep only two dogs. The special thing is that these licenses will be chipped. At the same time, it will be mandatory to obtain a license from the Municipal Corporation for running clinics, breeding centers and pet stores for pets. This system will be implemented for the first time. Licenses will be made for these also from April. Mayor Samyukta Bhatia has released the action taken report for the implementation of the decisions taken in the Municipal Corporation House. The order will be issued by the Municipal Commissioner this week to implement the decisions at the departmental level.
In the meeting held on November 17, Municipal Corporation House approved to increase the license fee for cow rearing from Rs. 30 to Rs. 500. Similarly, the license fee for foreign breed dogs was increased from Rs 500 to Rs 1000. The House had kept the license fee of indigenous breed dogs at Rs 200 per annum. At the same time, the House had approved a person to be given a license to keep a maximum of two dogs. It was argued that having more dogs in a house would cause problems to the people around. Since the license of the dogs is chipped, it will be easier to track them. These chips will be equal to a grain of rice. The chip will have the breed of the dog, details of the owner. These chips will be implanted on the dog’s skin.
