The Housing Development Council has made the new discount on flats effective from Monday. Under this, the single flat buyer will now get 10 per cent discount instead of 5.

The council had approved the proposal of 10 per cent discount in the board meeting. Under this, about 11 thousand flats will be sold across the state with a discount.

These flats are in cities like Lucknow, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Kanpur, Ghaziabad, Agra etc. A discount of up to Rs 2.50 lakh will be available on the purchase of One BHK flats whose estimated cost is 24 to 25 lakhs. Similar relaxation will also be available on bigger flats.
