'Live-in' Nityancha Palakanni accepted; National Commission for Women's appeal to parents

New Delhi : Children who are relieved in ‘live-in’ should be supported by their parents, children or relatives should be accepted, so that children do not feel shy while expressing their views and feelings freely,’ National Commission for Women President Rekha Sharma expressed a clear opinion on Friday. She used to speak in the backdrop of incidents of gruesome murders of ‘live-in’ partners in the country during the time of Alikad.

Many foster children do not support ‘live-in’ relationships, such cases have been seen. In Nikki Yadav’s case, her husband’s parents used to pressure her to get married. Same in the case of Shraddha Walker, her family was not in contact with her, they should pay attention, they should support the choice of their children and they should be respected, said Sharma.

In an incident that took place on February 10 in Delhi, 24-year-old Sahil Gehlot aka his ‘live-in’ partner Nikki Yadav was strangled to death with a mobile phone cable and her body was found hidden in his abandoned fridge outside a friend’s village in southwest Delhi. Sahil means on the same day the second female marriage would have been bananas. Half of Shraddha Walkar or Tarunchi’s live-in partner Aftab Punawala would have been killed, and her dead body would have been cut into several pieces and dumped in various parts of Delhi.
