The way has been cleared for the release of Ashish Mishra Monu, who is lodged in jail in Tikunia violence case of Lakhimpur Kheri. ADJ Sunil Verma has ordered release on the condition of filing two sureties of Rs. In compliance of this, two sureties were filed on behalf of Ashish Mishra Monu on Wednesday itself. The court has ordered for their verification. Ashish Mishra Monu’s release is certain as soon as the verification orders are received from the police station and tehsil on Friday.

Ashish is in jail for 276 days

In the Tikunia violence case, the Supreme Court has granted interim bail for eight weeks to Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Mishra Teni and the main accused. The way for the release of Ashish Mishra has been cleared once again. Earlier, on April 24, 2022, Ashish Mishra surrendered after the bail was cancelled. Ashish Mishra Monu is lodged in jail for the last 276 days. On the other hand, the relatives of the deceased farmers have expressed their unhappiness over the decision of the Supreme Court. However, the court has also granted bail to the four farmers jailed in the cross case case.
