Kushinagar News: Police encounter with ATM theft accused, four shot dead, seven arrested A to Z Counsel

Seven accused of stealing Rs 21 lakh 54 thousand by cutting SBI’s ATM with a gas cutter in Tamkuhiraj town have been arrested by the police in an encounter. Police laid siege on the information of the miscreants who came out to cut ATM from DCM and Scorpio near Matlu Chhapar at around 3 am on Thursday. During this, the miscreants tried to run away by firing, then in retaliatory action, four miscreants were injured due to police firing.

While controlling the four, the police arrested seven including their three other companions from the spot. A woman is also included in these. The injured accused have been admitted to the district hospital. Police have recovered three lakh rupees cash, Scorpio, DCM vehicle, pistol, gas cutter and other items from them. On the information of the encounter, SP Dhawal Jaiswal reached the spot and took information. The SP said that gangster action would be taken against the miscreants.

On the night of October 26, thieves had stolen Rs 21 lakh 54 thousand by cutting off the gas from the SBI ATM located at Hariharpur in Tamkuhiraj town. In this case, by registering a case against the unknown, the police continued to investigate. The informer informed the police about the miscreants riding Scorpio and DCM at around 2 pm on Thursday. Told that the miscreant is active towards Fazilnagar.

On this, the SP directed to search for the miscreants by forming a team of five SHOs, surveillance cell, cyber cell and SWAT in-charge. A Scorpio was seen coming in front of Matluk Chhapar village on the highway at around 3 o’clock, which the police tried to stop. Meanwhile, the Scorpio riders fired at the police and started running away from the vehicle.

In retaliatory action, four miscreants were shot in the leg. Only then the DCM riders also came. The police laid siege and caught them too. During interrogation of the miscreants, it was found that they roam around in UP, Bihar and Bengal and steal money by cutting ATMs.
