Kumbh 2025: The world will see the unique city of tents in Mahakumbh, the fair will be settled in 25 sectors, proposal of 483 crores

A blueprint has been drawn for setting up Kumbh-2025 on the sands of Sangam. This city of tents to be set up for the world’s largest congregation of saints and devotees will be bigger than the previous Mahakumbh. For this, a proposal to construct 25 pontoon bridges has been sent to the government. An estimated budget of Rs 483 crore has been proposed for Mahakumbh including checkered plate roads, gata margs and pontoon bridges.

A plan has been prepared for the work to be done on the sands of the Sangam for setting up the Mahakumbh. There is a plan to extend Mahakumbh up to three km ahead of Arail. For this Mahakumbh, there is a plan to build five times more pontoon bridges as compared to Magh Mela. Anant Madhav and Chakramadhav pontoon bridges will be built for the first time at Arail side for VIP tourists and top seers. A tent city will be set up between Someshwar Mahadev and Phaphamau.

Tent city will be constructed in Aral side only. For the first time, a Tent City Pontoon bridge will be built for the Tent City. Mori Pantoon Bridge, Harishchandra Pantoon Bridge, Bhardwaj Pantoon Bridge, Gangeshwar Pantoon Bridge, Vallabhacharya Pantoon Bridge, Bajrangjas Pantoon Bridge, Kailashpuri Pantoon Bridge will be built. Three additional pontoon bridges will be built to take the devotees out of the Mela area during rush. Similarly, the names of checkered plate routes have been taken.

Apart from the Sangam Lower Marg, Mukti Marg, Harshvardhan Marg, Shankaracharya Marg, Tulsi Marg, Govind Marg, Annapurna Marg, Veni Madhav, Bindu Madhav, Adi Madhav, Shankh Madhav, Padma Madhav, Gada Madhav will also be named. For the first time Someshwar Madhav Marg will be built in Mahakumbh. Sankashtharan Marg, Mankameshwar, Narayan Prabhu, Saraswati Marg, Alopshankari Marg will also be constructed.

A budget of Rs 644 crore was earlier proposed for Mahakumbh’s pontoon bridges and checkered plate routes, but now it has been revised to Rs 483 crore. This revised proposal has been sent to the government by the Kumbh Mela Division of PWD.

Proposal for widening-strengthening of 43 roads
In view of Mahakumbh-2025, a proposal has also been prepared for widening and strengthening of 43 roads. An estimated budget of Rs 458 crore has been kept on these roads.
