Nagpur. The demand to give the status of Nagar Panchayat to Kondhali, the biggest Gram Panchayat of Katol Tehsil, has been going on for many days. Its proposal has also been submitted to the Urban Development Department. Zip member Salil Deshmukh demanded the approval of this proposal in the general meeting of the Zilla Parishad held a day ago.
He said that keeping in view the increasing population of Kondhali, the funds provided to the Gram Panchayat are not sufficient from the point of view of development. That’s why it is necessary to get the status of Nagar Panchayat.
He said that the proposal of Zilla Parishad should be necessary in the proposal submitted to the Urban Development Department. That’s why a demand was made to approve the said proposal in the House. He said that after approving the proposal from the Zip, it will be presented again to the City Development Department through the City Planning Department of the District Magistrate’s Office.
