Mumbai: NCP MLA from Mumbra-Kalwa seat Jitendra Awhad was arrested recently. A complaint was filed against Jitendra Awada after the ruckus during the screening of the film ‘Har Har Mahadev’ in Thane. He was then arrested by the Vartak Nagar police in Thane. Meanwhile, actress Ketki Chitale has sent a notice against Jitendra Awhad to Vartak Nagar Police. Through this, the actress has demanded to impose more strict sections on Jitendra Awhad. In this case, actress Ketaki Chitale has given notice to Vartaknagar police through her lawyer. According to this notice, the sections imposed on it are not sufficient but should be increased.
According to the notice, Jitendra has been arrested by the police in connection with the attack on a cinema hall in Thane. However, the police have not invoked sections 120B and 354 of the Indian Penal Code. Jitendra Awhad, along with a few people, had brutally attacked Marathi-speaking middle-class men and women, young and old. This attack was well planned. Therefore section 120B is applicable as the assault was committed in pursuance of the conspiracy. Also, Section 354 is also applicable in relation to molestation when the complainant tries to raise his hand on his wife.
