Police registered a case against three real brothers for mercilessly beating up a Scheduled Caste teenager in Mawai village of Sarayakil Kotwali area. The only crime of the teenager was that he had taken water from a person’s tube well and drank it. Police is investigating by registering a report of the incident.
Janaki Saroj’s wife Janak Prasad of Mawai village says that on November 8, she was working in the field with her son. During this, when the son felt thirsty, he went to drink water in Suraj Singh’s tube well located nearby. When the son took out water from the tank, Suraj was annoyed by this.
He started abusing the son. Hearing the commotion, Janaki reached the spot and protested. It is alleged that Suraj, along with two other brothers, thrashed the mother-son over this matter. Due to the noise, the people working in the field intervened and pacified the matter.
Even after being informed about the incident, the police did not take any action. Recently, Janaki complained to the SP on this. On Sunday, on the instructions of the SP, the police registered a case against the accused.
The matter is under consideration. The report of the incident has been registered on the complaint of the victim. Statements of both the parties will be taken. After investigation, legal action will be taken on the basis of merit.-Shyamkant, CO Chail
