Union Minister for Information Broadcasting, Sports and Youth Affairs Anurag Thakur said that two ancient cultures are meeting in the Kashi Tamil Festival through literature, culture, sports and other genres. Thakur said this on Monday at the inauguration of table tennis competition organized under Kashi Tamil Sangamam Sports Festival. He said that programs of literature and culture took place in this grand event. Along with this, the work of connecting North and South through sports, the work of connecting Tamil Nadu with Kashi is going on. Which reflects our thousands of years old tradition.
Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Anurag Thakur said that the vision of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ is being realized through this grand event. He said that the enthusiasm that is being seen in the minds of the players, the same enthusiasm is being seen in the people of every team coming from there.
The people of Tamil Nadu are getting the opportunity to visit Kashi Vishwanath. Along with this, the art and culture of this place is also being introduced. Which is a matter of pride for all. Earlier, Union Minister Anurag Thakur introduced the players participating in the table tennis competition and inaugurated the competition by playing table tennis himself.
Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that the Kashi Tamil Sangamam is bridging the gap between distance and language. After inspecting the construction work of Sigra Sports Complex, the Sports Minister said that sports infrastructure is being strengthened rapidly in Varanasi as well as within the country. Arrangements are also being made available for sports and health of the local people. Earlier on Monday morning, Anurag Thakur attended the court of Kashi Vishwanath.
