Thane: A leopard entered a residential complex in Kalyan in Maharashtra’s Thane district on Thursday, causing minor injuries to three people. An official of the Forest Department gave this information. According to the official, a leopard entered the premises of Anugraha Tower on Chinchpada Road in the morning, due to which the people there got scared and they informed the forest department and police personnel.
Range forest officer Sanjay Channe told reporters, “The chaos that ensued after the leopard entered resulted in minor injuries to three people, who were given first aid at a local hospital.” The leopard has been kept in captivity and we are waiting for a cage to be moved to release it. ,

Officials said that after the news of the leopard’s presence spread, a huge crowd gathered in the area. He said the leopard might have entered the residential complex from the nearby Haji Malang hill area, which is densely forested. (agency)
