Kashi Kaal Bhairav Utsav has created a new world record. For the first time on Bhairavashtami in Kashi where Bhairav Diwali was celebrated. There, one lakh eight thousand Parthiv Bhairav was offered one lakh eight thousand lamps and Imarti. On the occasion of Bhairav Ashtami, the event was solemnized amidst the cheers and applause of the devotees in Kashi, which was blessed with Bhairav. Devotees from 25 states and 20 countries circumambulated the 100 feet idol of Batuk Bhairav and queued up till late night for darshan and worship.
On Wednesday evening, one lakh eight thousand lamps were lighted in front of Bhairav Dev in the Ramnath Chaudhary lawn with the lamp donation mantra. Along with this, 21 pundits also performed aarti of Mother Ganga. Bhairav Dev’s seeker Dr. Basant Vijay Maharaj said that the birthday of Lord Bhairav Dev, Rudra form, Trikal Darshi, is the one that gives happiness in this universe.
Bhairav Dev is quickly pleased with the true, simple devotion of his devotees and makes them fearless, prosperous and victorious over enemies. Dr. Basant Vijay said that today’s event got registered in 75 record books of the world including India, Asia.
During this, a 53-pound cake and thousands of eight types of chocolates were also offered to Batuk Bhairav. Said to leave selfishness to please God and increase the dose of devotion. He said that devotion is small, God’s grace is the biggest.
On Bhairav Ashtami, the birth anniversary was celebrated in all the Bhairav temples of the city including the Ashta Bhairav temple on Wednesday. Devotees of Baba Kalbhairav said Happy Birthday to Baba Kalbhairav by cutting a cake weighing 801 kg with rituals and offering Karan. There was a crowd of devotees since morning to worship Kotwal Baba Kalbhairav of Kashi, the order of darshan continued till late night.
After decoration in the temple of Kaal Bhairav Baba located in Chaukhandi Bir Badi Piyari, the doors of the temple were opened for the darshan of the devotees. Mahant Rajeshwaranand made Baba wear new clothes. Offered them food. On Bhairavashtami, in the early morning in the Brahma Muhurta, five Brahmins performed Shodshopachar worship of Baba.
After special bath, smearing vermilion, wearing new clothes, Baba was decorated in the form of a child by wearing a silver mask. Special Shringar Darshan at 12 noon, Tableau at 5 pm, Ashta Bhairav Havan at 7 pm, Srikalbhairav Janam Leela, Krishna-Sudama Leela, Mahishasur Vadh, Kali Tandav, Masan ki Holi, Sheetla Jhanki program continued till late night. Baba Kaal Bhairav’s birth anniversary and Maha Aarti were performed at 12 midnight. Similarly, the birth anniversary was celebrated by worshiping Baba in other Bhairav temples including Batuk Bhairav, Lat Bhairav, Bhoot Bhairav, Krodhan Bhairav.
