Two vicious miscreants were arrested in a police encounter last night in Nevadhia police station area of Jaunpur district of UP. Taking advantage of the darkness, a miscreant managed to escape. Both the miscreants were admitted to the hospital after being shot in the leg. Both had recently shot and robbed a bullion trader. A pistol and cartridges along with other loot items were recovered from the possession.
Additional Superintendent of Police Rural Shailendra Singh said that the incident of robbery was carried out by shooting a bullion trader in Adhanpur of Nevadhiya police station area last Thursday night. A team was being constituted to investigate the incident. Late Sunday night, along with the joint team of SOG, surveillance, the police of Nevadhia, Machhalishahar police station were checking suspicious vehicles.
The miscreants’ bike fell uncontrolled
Meanwhile, three bike-riding youths were seen coming. When an attempt was made to stop them, the accused started firing at the police team and ran away. In retaliation, the police bullet hit the legs of two miscreants riding a bike. While running away while firing, the miscreants’ bike fell uncontrollably. One of the miscreants fled before the police arrived.
