CBI raid on Jaunpur FCI godown

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team raided the FCI godown near Takha West Railway Gate in Jaunpur on Thursday afternoon. This action in the case of illegal recovery of money in the supply of Levy’s rice created a stir among the FCI employees. The team interrogated three personnel for about five hours.
During this, some cash is also reported to have been recovered. The raid continued till 8 pm. It was learned from the sources that a complaint was received about extortion of money in the name of quality test in the supply of Levi’s rice. In order of which the CBI team conducted raids.
CBI team threatened, many employees ran away
The Food Corporation of India (FCI) stores its food grains in the godown of the Central Warehousing Corporation near the railway gate at Takha West. At the same time, departmental offices are also present in the campus itself. In which the CBI received a complaint regarding the posted employees that a substantial amount was being recovered in the name of quality testing in the supply of Levi’s rice.
