Ram Asare Yadav (50), resident of Pokhara of Cheti Gramsabha, was drinking tea with some acquaintances at Ramnagar Cheti crossing at 1 pm. During this, along with Pokhara residents Brijesh Kumar, Ashish Kumar and Ranjit Kumar, Pankaj Mishra, a resident of Haripur reached by two bikes.

After this, people blocked the Prayagraj-Badlapur road by keeping the dead body on the road. On information, Additional SP Rural Shailendra Singh, Circle Officer Badlapur Shubham Todi, District Panchayat member Nanku Yadav reached. Rajya Sabha MP Seema Dwivedi and higher officials somehow ended the jam after one and a half hour. Ram Asre’s nephew Sachin Yadav has given Tahrir alleging the murder in a land dispute.

Additional SP Rural Shailendra Singh said that a murder case has been registered against Brijesh, Ashish, Ranjit and Pankaj in the case. Ranjit was arrested and the weapon and three cartridges were recovered. Efforts are being made to arrest others.

After the death of Ram Asre from a bullet fired at Ramnagar Cheti Square, the whole family was scattered. He had a crude household. Ram Asre was the only earning member in the household. He is survived by two sons and four daughters, in which one daughter is married. Ram Asare used to be boring. The family of eight members depended on the income from this. The murder has created a livelihood crisis in front of the family. Other family members including wife and daughter are in bad condition by crying.

When the accused Ranjit came to the hands of the villagers who were angry after shooting Ram Aasre at Cheti square, he was tied to a tree and beaten fiercely. During this, people thrashed him and made him half-naked. Tried to expose the miscreants involved in the incident and also the reason for the incident. When the police reached the information and saw the scene, they removed the crowd and took Ranjit to the CHC. He was badly injured. After giving first aid there, he was sent to the district hospital.
