India also won the first ODI by seven wickets and now they have won the ODI series in England after 23 years by winning the second ODI as well. The Indian women’s cricket team had earlier won the ODI series in England in 1999. Batting first after losing the toss in the second ODI match, the Indian team made a mammoth score of 333 runs for 5 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs, which is its second highest score in the history of ODI cricket. England’s team could not even play the entire over in front of this big score and was bundled out for 245 runs in 44.2 overs.
Daniel Wyatt top scored for the hosts with 65 and Ellyse Kepsi and Amy Jones scored 39-39. Apart from Renuka’s four wickets for the Indian team, Deepti Sharma and D Hemlata got one success each.

Harmanpreet Kaur’s fifth ODI century, India made the second highest score

Harmanpreet Kaur completed her century in 100 balls with the help of 12 fours and a six. He played an unbeaten innings of 143 runs in the match. During this, Harmanpreet hit 18 fours and four sixes in 111 balls. Thanks to the captain’s explosive batting, India added 80 runs in the last five overs and scored 333 runs in 50 overs for the loss of five wickets. Pooja Vastrakar contributed 18(16) and Deepti Sharma contributed 15(09).

Harmanpreet hit 18 fours and four sixes in his unbeaten knock of 143 off 111 balls. For England, Lauren Bell, Kate Cross, Freya Kemp, Charlotte Dean and Sophie Eccleston took one wicket each. Kemp (10 overs, 82 runs) and Bell (10 overs, 79 runs) proved costly for England.
