"I challenge Amit Shah", Uddhav Thackeray's big statement on civic elections

Mumbai:

Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray challenged Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the civic polls to be held in the state. He said on Wednesday that I challenge Amit Shah that we will defeat BJP in the upcoming civic and assembly elections. Thackeray further said that I challenge you to ask your disciples to conduct BMC elections within a month. And if you have the courage, then at the same time you should also try to conduct assembly elections in the state.

Uddhav Thackeray said that I want to tell Amit Shah that you should use all your tricks before the elections. If you are ready to play Hindu-Muslim card, then I want to tell you that Muslims are with us. As far as Hindus are concerned about Marathi or non-Marathi people, we have got all these together. Let us tell you that a few days ago, Aditya Thackeray, son of Uddhav Thackeray and former cabinet minister of the state, had also challenged the state government to hold elections.

Aaditya Thackeray had challenged the rebel MLAs of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde-led faction to resign and face elections. And why didn’t you resign and face the election, as it happens in a democracy.

Aaditya Thackeray dismissed claims of dissidents that it was difficult to meet him and his father Uddhav Thackeray during the previous Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government. Uddhav Thackeray was the Chief Minister in the MVA government. He had said, “I have always been available. I was allotted departments (environment and tourism) that no one chooses, but when you have ambitions and pressure, you part ways.

Aditya had said, “They (rebels) accused our allies (NCP and Congress) of destroying their political fortunes. They talked about Hindutva…tomorrow they can blame me for wearing a blue shirt every day.” challenged to do.
