Youth Dilip Kumar (24) hanged himself on Saturday morning in a garden of Uttargaon in Mohanlalganj town of Lucknow. When the police searched his clothes, a suicide note was recovered.

It was revealed that the young man ended his life after being troubled by the blackmailing of his girlfriend and her friends. In a fake case of rape, they used to collect money by threatening to send them to jail. The young man had got engaged only five days back.

According to Inspector Kuldeep Dubey, a case has been registered against girlfriend Sonam and her friends for blackmailing, threatening and forcing them to commit suicide on the complaint of Dilip’s father Bhandari Lal, a resident of Bijnor’s Shivgulamkheda village.

Bhandari Lal told that the elder son Dilip Kumar was a carpenter. On Saturday morning, Dilip had left Sarojini Nagar saying that he was going to work. Shortly afterwards, his body was found hanging from a noose in a mango orchard near Uttargaon, Mohanlalganj. On the information of the villagers, the police reached the spot.
